
Born in Mumbai of Goan parents, Ms Patricia Maria Rozario, is the first Indian singer of Western Classical Music to sustain a performing career over 30 years. Along with Zubin Mehta, she is one of the few Indian Fellow of the Royal College of Music, UK.
Her project “Giving Voice to India” aims to raise the standard of Western Classical Music in India and for over 3 years her teaching has produced several young singers who have been accepted at Music Colleges in UK and the USA.
She also has a wide repertoire which includes contemporary modern music and she had to train in classical Indian music for some of the compositions that have been made for her voice.
Ms. Patricia Maria Rozario is recognized for her outstanding contribution to the Western Classical Music and for eminence in skills which have enhanced India’s prestige abroad.
